La Spinetta Vursù Valeirano Barbaresco - 2005

The Barbaresco Vursù Valeirano is one of the most refined and powerful interpretations from the La Spinetta winery, an expression of the Valeirano cru in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto. In the Piedmontese dialect, "Vursù" means "towards," evoking the vineyard slope from which this great wine originates. The 2005 harvest, a memorable vintage in the Langhe, produced a Barbaresco of exceptional concentration: a complex bouquet of dried rose, ripe cherry, tobacco, leather, and spices, with an enveloping, tannic palate of extraordinary length.
