Rinaldi Barbera d'Alba DOC 2024
The Barbera by Giuseppe Rinaldi is one of the typical Piedmontese wines produced by the Rinaldi winery, now led by Giuseppe's daughters, Carlotta and Marta Rinaldi. The Giuseppe Rinaldi winery owns just over 6 hectares of vineyards that are at least 20 years old, 3.8 of which are planted with Nebbiolo, among the hills of Barolo and Novello.
Giuseppe Rinaldi's Barbera d'Alba DOC stands out from others produced in this area due to its dual aging process in steel and oak barrels for 5 months; it is a young and fresh wine with a lovely acidic backbone that supports the Barbera as it ages.
It is a very pleasant wine on the nose, releasing notes of dried violets and underbrush; on the palate, it is direct with a slightly bitter finish. The Rinaldi Barbera pairs very well with cured meats and cheeses, as well as red meat and beef carpaccio.
