The Nicolet family, owners of the domaine, cultivates historic vines on soils rich in galets roulés—the characteristic rounded pebbles that accumulate heat and lend the wine unique depth. The 2009 harvest, an exceptional vintage in the Rhône, produced a wine of great concentration and opulence: notes of ripe black fruits, olives, lavender, Mediterranean spices, and a touch of leather, with a warm, velvety palate and very long persistence.
