Distilleria Berta, founded in 1947 in Mombaruzzo (Asti), is one of the most prestigious names in the Italian grappa landscape. The 1988 Berta Acquavite di Vinaccia is a distillate of rare excellence, the result of long maturation in oak barrels that has endowed the product with extraordinary aromatic complexity. On the nose, it opens with notes of dried fruit, vanilla, sweet tobacco, spices, and fine wood; on the palate, it is enveloping, warm, and velvety, with a very long persistence and an elegant, refined finish.
