Pònkler Franz Haas - 2019

Pònkler is the flagship Pinot Nero from Franz Haas, one of the most prestigious wineries in South Tyrol. It comes from a single vineyard — the Pònkler, precisely — located in Montagna, at an altitude of about 700 meters, where the temperature fluctuations between day and night give the wine extraordinary complexity and finesse. On the nose, it expresses itself with elegance: ripe red fruits, rose, fine spices, and earthy notes; on the palate, it is silky, with polished tannins and a very long aromatic persistence.
